The Kenya Power Integrity and Ethics Programme

The Kenya Power Integrity and Ethics Department is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the mainstreaming of integrity and ethics in all aspects of the Company so as to continuously build a sustainable business and maintain positive relations with our customers,suppliers,shareholders, and the public at large.

 

How can the Integrity and Ethics Department help you in supporting high integrity and ethical standards at Kenya Power ?

It serves as a source of information and advice on ethical dilemmas, problems, and issues. There are Integrity Champions in all branches to support this.

Employees must know and adhere to Kenya Power core values for the integrity and ethics programme to be effective.

To empower employees, the Integrity and Ethics Department conducts integrity and ethics training annually.

The Integrity and Ethics Department, in its monitoring and evaluation role, conducts research, obtains feedback and implements the recommended corrective action towards improvement of integrity and ethical standards at Kenya Power .

 

Can I remain anonymous and still keep track of what is happening on an investigation initiated by me on the online ethics help-desk?

Yes, you will be assigned a reference number so that you may anonymously inquire on the status or outcome of an ethics investigation initiated by you.

 

Assurances by the Integrity and Ethics Department

All cases are treated with the utmost confidentiality.

All cases will be investigated quickly and feedback provided. Some cases may take longer than others but on average, an ethics case should be resolved within 30 days.

Cases of misconduct will be investigated and disciplinary action taken where allegations are found to be true. Disciplinary action may include termination of employment.
